If you want a more physical solution, take out the sim card (if you have one).

What the OP wants is to use still be able to use cellular data but not receive calls and texts. And no, there is no way to do that (without jailbreak).

Not what the OP is looking for but it could be done with GV's Do Not Disturb if only the GV number was given out.

Seconded.

A much needed feature that will be coming this fall. But for now airplane mode with Wifi turned on. Even then, iMessages will still get through
