anyway to stop indexing of folder?

    so i am dual booting both snow leopard and lion and spotlight is indexing the other partion's applications folder, and the sometimes the first thing that comes up is the app with the same name from the other partion! and the apps are incompatible so os x just spits in my face. SO is there anyway for spotlight not to index a folder, or another partion

    Yes. You can exclude folders or volumes in the Spotlight System Preference > Privacy tab.
