Anyway to throttle a 4G LTE cellular data high speed connection on purpose?

I want to test to see if a certain app still works on 2G (128 Kbps) speeds.

Go to Settings, Cellular and turn LTE off.

The easiest way to do this, is connecting the phone to a wifi hotspot capped at 128Kbps(which you created with your pc/mac). You could also edit the max wifi speed in your router settings.

I’ve been trying to find a way to do this for quite some time now, but for different reasons... without having to disable LTE. Verizon 3G sucks and I like using VoLTE.

If you enable your iPhone for development (using Xcode) you can use the built in Network Link Conditioner.

Connect to wifi using a decent router, limit the down/up rates with QoS.

Network Link Conditioner is the best way. Plug your phone into your Mac, open Xcode and make sure the device is enabled for development use.
