iPhone 16 Pro AOD - question please

Coming from an iPhone 13 Pro, so the always on display is new to me. I currently have four widgets under the clock, but I’ve noticed that, at times, not all three widgets are showing. Is that normal? If so, what causes that?

Depends which widgets. Some don't show until you unlock the screen, for instance the activity rings widget

Some widgets don't show until you unlock for privacy reasons.
