Aol mail

    When I delete emails from my iPhone they dont get deleted off the aol mail server? Is there anyway to do this?

    Do you have it set up as a POP or an IMAP account?

    I believe it's imap. When I set it up all I did was enter my email address and password and the iPhone did the rest. And from what I read the iPhones sets up aol as imap by default.

    Thanks for the reply's! I looked at the link aggie, but doesnt seem to make sense. It tells me to delete all my accounts, then type in imap.aim.com but I have aol.

    Well, they seemed to be happy with it. :)

    Try this then:

    http://email.about.com/od/accessingaolmail/f/AOL_Mail_IMAP_Settings.htm

    Look at your AOL settings in mail and see if you have the same thing as above. However, from what I see, AOL is supposed to default to IMAP. Try checking your Advanced settings under the AOL account also.

    Still using AOL!! Woow!! Thought it is already at the Smithsonian museum!!

    auptimus,LOL! Ive been using it so long that its hard to get rid of it
