AP Mobile vs. USA Today

I'm amazed at how slow it takes for AP to launch. USA Today launches much faster. I wish some other news app would come out with push.

The AP news reader use to be one of my favorite apps, until its last upgrade. I do use USA Today and the ABC app. I previously enjoyed the simplicity of AP, but now it's messy and crashes often.

ap does take a while to load up, but it hasnt crashed on me in a couple of updates. never used usa today app.

I've been using AP lately for the push. I was using USA Today before that.

AO Mobile only takes a few seconds to start up on my 3G S. I have both apps though.

Until USA Today gets Push Notifications like AP Mobile, then AP is the winner for now.

the only prob with push on ap is it doesnt tell you what was pushed.

That is true if you only have badges set to On, but if you set Alerts also to On, it will come up like a text message with the headline.

I like USA Today, since I can click on each section, and download the updated news in a few seconds. Then I can read the entire article when I am 'offline'. On 3G it works rather quickly. On my 3GS, it is almost instantaneous.
