I am installing a battery back up. There is powerchute software to power off the comouter. It makes not reference to windows or MAC. IS it compatable woth a MAc Running Snow Leapord??

You don't need any extra software. OSx will recognize the USB connection when you plug it in. There are settings in system preferences for the UPS.
