I've tried reinstalling the program multiple times with no luck, restoring my computer from a time machine back up, and I've tried replacing the apple prokit files.

I really need to get this working again. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Does the same happen with another, temporarily created, user account?
Have you tried a normal reinstallation of Mac OS X yet, without the use of Time Machine?
Do you still have Apple Care?

Can you get to the first aid screen?...

Thanks for the replies. I can't get past the error screen (no part of Aperture opens).

I don't have apple care, but I'll try creating another account. I haven't tried a full reinstall because of the time that would require, but it's starting to look like I may have no choice.

Creating another user account does not work....

I'll send anyone $20 CND though paypal if they find a way to fix it without reinstalling os x.

I was having same problem with iPhoto, found a solution that worked for me.

According to this Apple forum,
http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=12892306

the same solution may work for you.

System Preferences > Spotlight > Security

Add your Bootcamp volume to the Security section (either by clicking '+' and selecting the partition; or just drag the volume icon into the Security section)

Then try launching A3 and see what happens. Apparently there is some issue with Spotlight, Bootcamp and 10.6.6.

Good luck!

PS - if it works, keep your $20; just happy to help if I did.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it didn't work. I even deleted the entire boot camp partition and still had no luck.

Edit:
Turns out it's a simple fix.

For those with the same problem:
1. Navigate to: /Library/Frameworks/PluginManager.framework/Versions/B/PluginManager
2. Delete the PluginManager
3. Get a new copy of the PluginManager. (You can copy one from a friends macbook) or use the one hosted here: http://qvenon.com/files/PluginManager.zip

Thanks to those who offered help.
