Hi all, I've finally got a MacBook Pro and want to download Aperture because I have a few libraries from when I was on my Mac Pro over 10 years ago. It's the only place where I had saved them and want to migrate but would like to see what I got. I'd like to find a safe place to download the program and run it on my MacBook Pro. If I can get 3.6 to run, it would be wonderful. I'm currently using OX Sierra. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It would probably be easier to convert or merge your Aperture libraries to Photos. I don't believe you can download Aperture from Apple unless it's listed in your purchased items and even then, maybe not. Take a look at this Apple discussion note doc on how to convert your Aperture libraries to the Photos app and its libraries: LINK

Aperture still ‘works’ on High Sierra. I didn’t play with it enough to say that it works without any issues but i was able to download it on the weekend from the App Store, import some photos into a new library and make some edits to them. Compares to Capture One and even Lightroom CC, Aperture is a little primitive these days.
