Aperture Loading Assets - Can it be quicker?

Hi, I've loaded in several hundred RAW images from my Nikon DSLR into Aperture 3.2 and the other day I took only a few more images then wanted to import them but had to wait for aaages for Aperture to load the assets into my import screen, is there a way I can set Aperture to show only un-imported images like in iPhoto? I don't want to see several hundred images loading when I only need to import the very last few 😱

Yes, it is possible. I don't have Aperture in front of me to find out how I set it to do that. This might help you, though.

Just tried it, unfortunately the 'don't import duplicates' box is greyed out when I go to import some photos 🙁

I still have to sit through about 700 photos loading in the viewer just to import the last few 😕
