Visiting my mother in the UK,someone gave her a iphone5s,she tried to set it up and misspelt her email address.Obviously, she cannot verify it as it is incorrect.Cannot set to retire as cannot turn off the "find my iPhone"feature(as we cannot verify the incorrect email address).
Just need to get this done so i can go back to Jamaica!

Yeah right man :D
She just misspeled her email and password and locked it to someones find my iPhone icloud account.:D

I didn’t understand how anyone can misspell and still get into the phone?! She must have the correct iCloud ID and password to sign in right?

You think it’s one of those?!............

Verify as in? Is she on the home page? Can’t see sign out?
Thanks Akash..
Verify as in,it keeps asking for password for the email she has entered, which is wrong.Cant delete the incorrect email as it needs verifying ...nightmare.

Yeah but to get the email account accepted to begin with, she must have typed in a correct password. This actually doesn’t make sense.

It’s really difficult to understand where you see this message. Can you attach a picture by any chance?

Awww...c'mon lads!I'm not a criminal!Phone belongs to her...

I'm not sure if i am explaining this properly.
1.She was given an iPhone 5s by her friend, unlocked.
2.Home screen is open,sim card u
[doublepost=1507212378][/doublepost]can't "restore"as i need to turn off "find my iPhone" but can't turn that off as we cannot verify her email address...

i can post some screenshots if this help?

Buddy I dont think you're getting it.
You cannot bypass icloud activation lock. Its an anti theft security feature that needs the correct icloud email and password to disable.
If it was given to her by her friend then tell her to ask her to enter the correct icloud password in order to turn off find my iphone.
Or bring it to Apple.
Good luck.

Thanks Juiced,appreciated.
We understand that she needs the correct iCloud email/password BUT,she misspelt her email and now cannot delete it to re enter it correctly.I'm assuming her friend "wiped"it before giving it to her..
regards,
Buddy.
