Sounds like one of the Mormons was a Moron! :p

Sorry, no offense intended, just could not resist.

I guess if you were lucky enough to get a copy of the paper with the mistake, it will eventually be worth some money on the Antiques Roadshow. :)

I hope someone saved one before the copies were recalled. I haven't been able to find it online.

I notice with great disappointment that this thread was bumped into the PRSI forum. This thread isn't about religion, it's about an amusing spellcheck error published in a newspaper.

Hmmm, I didn't move it... I can test moving it out to Current Events and see what happens. :)

I go to the University of Utah (BYU's numero uno rival) and we've been hearing about this a lot. Oops. ;)

You're more right than you think. In Mormon mythology (it's a fascinating topic!) the secret golden plates containing their theology were revealed to Joseph Smith in 1820 by the Angel Moroni ...

Sorry I'm in the UK and I've never met a Mormon in my life, but something about their history just fascinates me. Whenever I want a giggle or fancy some befuddlement, I read up a bit more about them.

You may be related to a (dead) Mormon. They practice posthumous baptisms on people all over the world.

I wouldn't be surprised if you do know a mormon, you just don't know that they are one. I served my mission in the UK (London and the southern part of England, to be exact) and there are quite a number of members on your side of the pond. Just look out for the ones that don't drink alcohol and it's a good chance they're mormon. ;)

He was the Italian angel, wasn't he?

You notice they never talk about the other angels: Zebrinski, Reinhart, Zapata, O'hara, and the black sheep of the family, Schwartz.
