Hello,

For some reason the app bar at the bottom of my iphone flashes blue when I double click the home button to close apps. I have tried resetting my phone, and its still doing it. Anyone else have this? I am on an iPhone 7+ with iOS 10.3.1 .. I am thinking this started when I upated to 10.3.1 .. I also did a complete restore of my phone. Same thing. Any advice? Thank you!

Never seen this before. Do you have another device to take a video with? Or a friend who can take a video and post it for us?

Unfortunately, I do not have a way to record it. The only thing I turned on in Accessability is reduce motion. I tried to screenshot it, but it happens to fast. Its not a major thing, just annoying as it makes iOS look buggy. I am going to try a complete reset with iTunes and re-install iOS.

Ok wait I was able to screenshot it. One is normal, and the other is the blue that it flashes.

Is that Switch Control? (Settings --> General --> Accessibility --> Switch Control) ?

If I turn that on I get a bar that flashes (like a box).

Sounds like some visual glitch basically. I recall someone else recently posting about it in another thread (can't quite recall which one exactly at the moment).

Switch control is showing as off. I am thinking as C DM said, its a visual glitch. I will try a reset through iTunes and see if that clears it up. Thanks!

Good luck - this would bother the **** out of me. Hopefully you are near an Apple Store if it doesn't fix it.

Here's the thread I was thinking about: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ios-10-3-bug-or-hardware-defect.2040371/

Another post in a different thread that relates to this seems to say that this happens with the dock only if you go into the app switcher when you have just one app open: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/app-switcher-bug-in-10-3-is-bad.2038993/page-2#post-24439712

I've tried this on my iPhone 7 (with iOS 10.3.1) and the same thing appears to happen to the dock when I use the app switcher when only one app is open. Sounds like an iOS visual glitch/bug.

Since it appears to be a small visual glitch that is likely there for everyone and only appears in a particular situation when the app switcher is used with just a single open app, it's not that likely that an Apple Store would be able to do anything about it. Perhaps some iOS update will address it (either directly or indirectly in some way).

I hope so. Thanks!
