iPhone App custom icons not changing

Experiencing a weird issue with apps that offer custom icons. I select an alternative in the app, go to home screen and... they don't change. At all.

This is happening on several apps too so it's not just an app-specific thing.

Anyone else seeing this?

This has happened to me on occasion. I typically hard reset my iPhone and once the phone restarts, the new icon you changed it to should appear. If it doesn't, just go back into the app and change the icon and it should work.
