App data not getting restored from iCloud

I restored my iPhone 3GS to iOS6. Selected the option "Restore from iCloud backup", however all data except Apps and its data got restored. Settings, Camera Roll, Mail accounts etc got restored. Apps and its data are not getting restored, tried couple of times, no joy 🙁

IDK that's really strange and you may need to try and restore your phone again and see if it happens again.

no joy till now. It's the third time am doing restore.

Apps are not stored directly in the iCloud backup - just App Data and the fact you had it installed. They are being re-downloaded from the App Store. I am not sure that helps you but make sure your phone is logged in to your iTunes account - maybe try manually download an App you had and see if its data was restored?

I think you guys need to back it up and restore from a computer, if you want your data intact for each apps! Icloud won't cut it!

No, I restored from iCloud just fine. The issue OP has is very strange.

Probably depends on the app since it has to use iCloud to store it's settings
