Hi there,

I believe the correct term is App Expose. From the description of my problem I'm sure you'll be able to inform me if I'm right or wrong.

Anyway,

My example is TextEdit. When I have textedit open and am writing a document and use "four-finger swipe down" I get the app expose. The problem I have, is that previous documents I've had open show up as minimized windows (even though they are currently not open). How do I prevent this from happening?

You don't.

This is just further evidence that mission control
a) is a complete mess
b) is very poorly executed
c) is more of a beta
d) limited in options to give users choice

be careful, there are many members on this forum that will tell you to stop crying about lion and go back to using windows. you may want to vent your frustrations with lion elsewhere.

Thanks for the reply. A shame you can't change it.

If people are going to start telling me to stop crying etc., I honestly don't care. I can live with the issue. It was more if you were able to change it, it would have been nice.

Just speculation on that app expose feature here. I reckon there is some service that collects all available files for each app to make them available in app expose. If you find this service and remove it, then maybe your problem will go away. The service is more than likely hard coded into the dock app though, sadly.
