Some time ago I saw an iPhone app which, as I recall, let you search for apps and gave reviews of the apps. I believe it cost $3.99 but am not sure of that. Can anyone tell me the name of that app? Thanks!

Appshopper. They run a fantastic site and now they have a fantastic app. Even though I never use their referral links cause I'm very much anti referrals.

Thanks all. I believe Appadvice is the one I saw earlier, but I'll give Appshopper a try also. The greatest AND worse things about iPhone apps are their quantity and variety, but many times I find it extremely hard to find the apps I want. I sure wish that the App Store would make it easier to find things! :)

Not sure because I never used any, but isn't Chomp one? Like you can get suggestions and write reviews?

AppAdice is a great app. I have never purchased an app that they recommended that wasn't excellent. Well worth the few bucks it costs.

I purchased Appadvice and it has already paid off for me. I've been looking for field guide apps for the local flora and fauna here in central Florida, but haven't found much except for iBird South. Appadvice pointed me to Audubon Nature Florida, a GREAT app and even more than I'd hoped for - animals, plants, and insects all in one app!

When I went into iTunes and searched with the term "Audubon" this app did NOT show up - I had to use "Audubon Nature" to find it. Without Appadvice pointing me to it I would not have found this app. Apple really needs to make the App Store much more search-friendly!
