Hello all Apple Watch walkers :)

I'm fresh Apple Watch Series 4 owner running watchOS 6 and my phone is iPhone 6s with iOS 13.

As I decided to walk everyday to lose weight, I'm finding app dedicated for walkers. As for now, I'm walking 25 minutes, then 5 minutes pause and then again 25 minutes.

I'm finding app, that allows me to send notification after selected time (like "It's time to pause" and "Workout is done"), to track my steps and distance, to track calories burned, to track heart rate and to track number of floors I walked. Widget in Notification Centre for iPhone would be great.

There are many apps for runners, but I'm finding something dedicated for walking.

THANKS!

What about the workout app 'outdoor walk' option. It tracks how long, how far, height changes, calories, heart rate, steps, and has a GPS route tracker. You can set a time limit if you press the ... icon. Set that for 25 mins and it'll give you a taptic response that the time is up.

Agree. I use it every day. Very informative. Even has an indoor walk mode. I use that for the treadmill when weather is less than ideal.

I use Walkmeter - been using it for years - great for running, walking, hiking, biking etc.

Great GPS tracking and mapping of trails and walks / rides - download tracks automatically when finished

Export data files in many different formats

It has an auto pause - it senses when you stop

Or you can just up your walks to 30 minutes, as the watch will buzz at every 30 minutes.

Thanks all, I have chosen Workouts++, but there is an issue - it randomly does not show heart rate. I have to reboot my Apple Watch to get it work. Other apps have no problems with access to heart rate.

Any idea?

Thanks.

HR is sometimes not 100% reliable, you will get this issue with all apps from time to time. Just wait, rebooting is not necessary due to my 3 yrs experience with AWs.

I have the same issue with Workouts++ so stopped using it and use the Workout app. Never a problem with HR shows. Good going with your weight loss program.
