When we played with an iPad demo unit at an Apple Store we ended up playing a game where each player had to throw marbles onto a rotating platform with a hole in the middle. The closer you got to the hole, without falling in, the more points you got.

Does anyone know the name?

Labyrinth 2 HD. There's a free demo of it in the App Store.

No, unfortunately that's not it.

Up to 4 players could play, you flick a marble with your finger from a corner onto the rotating platform in the middle. The platform consists of rotating rings, you get points depending on which ring you land on. If you flick too hard, the ball falls through the hole and you get no points.

Just answering my own question. It's "PartyPlace Marble Mixer for iPad"

A bit expensive for the simplicity of the game though.
