I bought my Powerbook from Apple Online, and at that time I did not purchase the APP with it because finances were low.
I just purchased it online because I had another order of $26 and I wanted free shipping and also because i had money and i wanted it to begin with.
I haven't received the package yet; however, all I wanted to know is what is it that comes shipped? I mean..is it a form, is it a box with phone numbers? I don't know. Do I have to bring my computer somewhere to get it checked. Blah blah blah.

You'll get a small white and red box (there's a picture on the Apple site) that contains a small "what to do" (check online, run diagnostics, then call) sheet, a registration form that you must fill out with your computer's serial number and send in to actually activate the coverage for your computer (you can also fill out a form online, which is what I always do), and an Apple-branded copy of TechTool Deluxe (version 3.something) on a bootable CD.

Although the copy of TechTool isn't the latest version, it still offers a full compliment of hardware and disk tests, plus directory repair for some problems I've seen that fsck/Disk Utility can't fix, so it could come in handy. Unfortunately, I don't think it'll test external Firewire drives.
