It looks great in landscape but 6 icons in a row in portrait mode does make it looks like android

I like them as they are currently so I don’t think I’ll be updating for a while.

Is it just on my mini 5 or is the search bar on the widget page off the top of the screen for everyone?

The icons are definitely small, and the comment above about it looking like Android is spot on. For me personally, I’d rather have the icon size as it is now. I’m weird in that I’ll have 3 pages of apps with each page maybe 3/4 of the way full, and with the icons small it looks like a lot of wasted space in ‘13. With the icons as they are in ‘12 everything looks spaced out correctly.

Off topic: One thing I noticed yesterday on the mini 5 (on ‘12) is that when you’re in Safari and hit the tab switching button there are definitely some dropped frames of the animation. Hopefully that little stutter is fixed in 12.4 / 13.0.

I hope they introduce a setting where we can choose between the two icon sizes, rather than just a default. It seems that opinion is divided.

I kinda like them that way. I could have one or two rows of app "folders" and I'd be able to see my background photo. I like mine nice and neat. ;)

Personally I stuff the apps in folders anyway and use the search to find and open them quickly. I don’t like my home screen too busy. Works nice and quickly each time i need to open something.

lol for years people were complaining about them being to big, now they’re too small..
....when people write lol generally they follow up with silly statements...I wonder why.
1) People who complained in the past about icons being too big are probably different from those who are complaining now that icons are too small.
2) Most of the people who complained in the past were using the 13” iPad Pro. And yes, icons were HUGE! But the iPad mini is, well...smaller, as the name might suggest. Did people “for years” complain about icons being too big on the iPad Mini? I don’t think so...

Of course you’re right and i think it’s ridiculous that Apple made the same changes like for the 12.9 and 11 inch iPad Pro also on a mini. Makes not too much sense if you ask me. But still I found it a little funny ;)

I’m kind of used to it now but still feel the icons could be slightly larger.

Is there no way to get app icons back to the iOS 12 size at this point? At this point it’s pretty tiny.
