I hope this changes in future betas as it looks far to small on iPad mini screen.
Do you get the new landscape home screen on the mini?
Whatttt? that's awesome. I honestly wish we could make them smaller and add more rows/columns
I love that they're smaller. I'm enjoying it already. But maybe for those who prefer it bigger they'll add a zoom option like the one that was introduced with the iPhone 6 and has been available ever since.
It looks great in landscape but 6 icons in a row in portrait mode does make it looks like android
lol for years people were complaining about them being to big, now they’re too small..
I see what you did!
I would say more "iPhone" like
I like them as they are currently so I don’t think I’ll be updating for a while.
Is it just on my mini 5 or is the search bar on the widget page off the top of the screen for everyone?
The icons are definitely small, and the comment above about it looking like Android is spot on. For me personally, I’d rather have the icon size as it is now. I’m weird in that I’ll have 3 pages of apps with each page maybe 3/4 of the way full, and with the icons small it looks like a lot of wasted space in ‘13. With the icons as they are in ‘12 everything looks spaced out correctly.
Off topic: One thing I noticed yesterday on the mini 5 (on ‘12) is that when you’re in Safari and hit the tab switching button there are definitely some dropped frames of the animation. Hopefully that little stutter is fixed in 12.4 / 13.0.
How is ios13 beta on iPad mini 5 performance wise ? Any limitations ?
wow, to me those small icons look great!
Runs great for a 1st beta
I feel the same. They are too small. I hid them on the second page. Looks cluttered to me.
Yeah Im loving that! I used to jailbreak just to get smaller and more icons on the screen!
much improved IMO
I hope they introduce a setting where we can choose between the two icon sizes, rather than just a default. It seems that opinion is divided.
I kinda like them that way. I could have one or two rows of app "folders" and I'd be able to see my background photo. I like mine nice and neat.
Personally I stuff the apps in folders anyway and use the search to find and open them quickly. I don’t like my home screen too busy. Works nice and quickly each time i need to open something.
