All, I am trying to get back into only iOS use. For the past 5-6 months or so, I have been using my S9+.
If I arrange my app icons the way I want, and have to restore my device (iPhone Xs Max) from iCloud, will it place the icons in the same spot I placed them prior?

It just seems too much 'effort' to place app icons where I want them. So, if the need ever came to restore, I would rather not have to move them all over again.

PS: Could not tell if to place this thread here, or in the iOS section.
MODs, feel free to move accordingly. Thanks

Yes, if for whatever reason you have to restore your iPhone again in the future it will indeed put your apps back as they were.

Just in case, take a screenshot of each home screen to show your icon layout. But be aware that if you go into Settings/General/Restrictions/Apps and toggle on "Disable All Apps" to get them all off your home screens, (for temporary security reasons) when you toggle it back on to show them- your home screens will be all messed up. Icon arrangement will be random.

Later today, I might start the chore of moving icons to where I want them.
To be honest, it really is just the first screen I need corrected, and then have the remaining screens in alphabetical order.

But, the chore. Ugh...

How many apps do you have then?!

To be honest, not that many (a hand full), I will be done in no time.
It's just the chore of doing it. Whereas on Android, your 'screens' are typically minimal by default, and you fill them as needed.

So... :)

[doublepost=1551800359][/doublepost]Icons have been moved, and even some placed into folders.
Now, if Apple would allow me to make the dock transparent, we'd be in business...
