Like a lot of devs out there, our app seems to be lost in the void of the app store, as well as lacking in ratings and reviews. I would like to exchange app reviews with other devs to help promote our apps together.

Send me an PM if your interested, please provide a link of your app for me to review

Asking for fake reviews of your app? Way to prove yourself to be trustworthy as a developer.

    Getting legitimate app reviews

I don't think asking for reviews is dodgy. He did not state I will pay someone for a 5 star rating or anything like that. He just wants honest reviews (I hope). If his app is worth 2 stars then he gets 2 stars.

I created a facebook page exactly for this reason. Getting reviews is hard and to get your app noticed you want 4+ stars (generally). So asking for reviews could work for or against the developer depending on how good the app is. I think that it is a joke how app reviews are run these days (out side of the app store), take a site like http://mac.appstorm.net/. Devs send there app to get reviewed, how many of you have actually heard back from a site like this that they were reviewing your site for free. Not many. Sure they there will be a few, but majority of them are paid for.

What if there was another way to get legitimate reviews that were real, meaningful, accurate and most of all done by users rather than reviewing sites that you have to pay.

I believe that there does need to be an incentive for an every day user to go out of there way and write up a review or some form of feedback for a app. People are busing and unless the app is 10/5 stars not many people will bother (always an exception to the rule).

So how can we have a way where both side are happy (devs get a review, users have an incentive to do the review). Well I think if we can create a movement where devs can post ads (of such) giving some information about their app, what they are looking for with regards to the type of review and a incentive for a user to complete a review. I think one of the biggest and best incentives to get users aboard is a COUPON whether FREE or for a discount. This will attract the right type of people for the review because they won't the app (and what a better way to get a paid app for free). So with this in mind I created a facebook community https://www.facebook.com/ReviewMyApp where devs post an ad for users to review and in return get a reward. I have created a post containing the HOUSE RULES which must strictly be adhered to, or post may be deleted or user blocked from the page.

My intentions are legitimate, I want honest reviews. Not 5 stars because you are receiving an incentive. Give what it deserves. Same goes for devs, do not post an ad for a review requesting a 5 star review or anything like that. Keep your integrity and return we may be able to create a community to solve a problem all devs face.

If you think this is a good idea please like the page and spred the word. As a dev myself we need to find a way where reviews can be obtained easier whilst still keeping our integrity.

    Sorry for the long spiel.

    Thanks

    I second You Rexy!!!

The importance of App reviews cannot be discounted in the current algorithm used by the Apple for ranking the apps. It takes a hell lot of time, resources, money and manpower to just create a basic App.
We have recently updated our game Burt Destruction on the App store and are looking forward for some genuine review.
    https://itunes.apple.com/in/app/burt-destruction/id547121643?mt=8 and its FREE!!

Please spare some time and have a look :)

    Thank you.
