App-Specific Password Error

Hi, I've been generating app-specific password for a few years now without error and suddenly the past few days when I click to generate one, it asks me to create a label and when I do I get "This cannot be processed at this time. Please try again later." Well, it's been a few days. So I can't generate the password.
Has anyone experienced this or have thoughts on a fix?
 
I know this post is from 2018 but I‘m having exactly the same issue. Can't generate them in the account page and get the same error message. Been that way for weeks now.

Just curious, but do you also have issues setting up Family sharing?
