app store and itunes gift card

has anything been said about itunes gift cards working in the new app store or will there be a seperate gift card available.

I bought a gift card that was used for apps, that was last year though.

All iTunes cards are valid for music apps and books, i see no reason why mac apps would be different.

Are you talking about the new mac app store? the above replies sound like they're referring to iPad/iPhone app stores?

the iOS app store is part of iTunes
the Mac app store isn't..it's a separate program
i was wondering the same thing if i can use iTunes gift card money in the Mac one
