So, the iPhone OS 2.0 adds downloadable apps, and so far we've seen hardcore games, casual games, and games in-between. And I'm sure we'll also get our share of crappy cell-phone games ported over. My question is, are you going to treat the iPhone as a new handheld game system? Maybe just as a cellphone with a game for while you're in line? Are you going to buy any games at all?

Will depend on how good the games end up being. I have a Nintendo DS and PSP, so I will only be buying games that are really good.

The RPG type game they showed looks very good from what I have seen!

Cro-Mag Rally for sure. That game is awesome. If they have network play on that thing it will be the best thing that's ever happened to the iPhone/iTouch.

I can see myself buying Super Monkey Ball and I'll be interested to see what free stuff turns up.

I'm particularly intrigued by App storage as I haven't seen anything on this. Will it be possible to keep apps in iTunes and put the ones you need at the time on the handset or must they live on there permanently?

i'll play the occasional game, though i'm really looking forward to connect 4. :)

That looks awesome fun!

Wirelessly posted (PPC; 240x320; HTC_TyTN/1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.7))

I'll probably buy a few purely to keep me entertained while waiting, like when my fiancee is deciding what to wear for a night out, then putting on her make-up, then finding shoes to match, then changing her mind on the entire outfit, then deciding she'd rather have a quiet night in with a dvd. Oh, and while waiting on windows to finally open the application I just clicked on...

I wont spend money on any games. But if a decent game comes out and is free, I will download it. Like a tetris game, I would definatly download one of those!!

Lumines! if that game come out I have to purchase it. I'm willing to spend 15 dollars for it. To me it way more addicting then Tetris and fits the iPhone because of it's use of music in the gameplay.

Heck yeah I do. Not real games, but stuff like tetris and solitare. Way to make the time go by if I am out somewhere waiting...... Don't know if I would be willing to buy a game thou. Free for me.

If the games are good and actually worth playing, then yes. I hope that they allow demos or trial versions.

Also, we need to keep in mind that these games will kill battery life and not something that you'd probably want to use all the time if you were traveling.

Hope you love her....cause it will be like that for the rest of your life.

Wait, read that part again......for the rest of your life!

Yeah, you can either download into iTunes or from the App Store direct (thus should be able to keep it in iTunes), and you can redownload anytime you want.

i will get some games to kill time when I am waiting, looks like it will be a great gaming solution. will get super monkey ball right away :)

Haha, yeah, it's love. We're getting married June '09. Besides, I can't not love her, she is letting me buy all my soon to be Apple purchases :D

I'll add a couple of games, pass times for business trips and such, but nothing too fancy I think. Sudoku, Poker etc.

The App I'm most looking forward to is an iPhone version of the Splash ID password manager.

I second the request for demos.
