So all the Apps on my iPhone 5S running iOS 8 have been updated. But the badge over the icon will not go away. I've tried restarting the phone and quitting the App from the app switcher. Nothing works and this has happened numerous times. I'm running the latest iOS update as well. Any suggestions??

I had this issue the other day with MSFT OneDrive. I saw the badge update in the App Store, but I did the update through iTunes.
I couldn't get rid of it until I uninstalled the app, and reinstall it again. I'm on iPhone 6 Plus 8.1.2.

So I should uninstall all my apps and redo it?? My badge shows 12 updates. The only way I got rid of the badge was to turn on notifications for the App Store. But the badge still shows in the App store app in the bottom right corner besides the update button. Would a "restore from backup" do the trick? Sometimes I update my Apps through iTunes but other times all update directly on my iPhone through my home WiFi. Even if I update through WiFi on the phone I'll still update my App in iTunes as well.

Oh god ths is an EXTREMELY annoying bug which exists since iOS 8. Apparently you will have to hit the "update all" button from your device to get rid from the badge. This sould be fixed asap! Its a pain to update the apps this way!

My iOS 8 devices do this if I update through iTunes. If done on the device, the badge counts are correct.

This happened to me recently.

I had 5 apps to update...I hit Update All.

and was still left with 1 to update (and badge) tried restarting and updating the app.

Eventually I deleted the app. I didn't use it anyway

So with the new iTunes version 12.1 I can verify that this issue has NOT been repaired.
