App Store errors and closes when downloading

of course, my phone is jailbroken, so who knows what the conflict could be. i was trying to download and update a few apps, and whenever i tap the "download" the app store closes out and nothing happens.


has anyone else ever had this problem?

Christ guys, I tried downloading pandora, free. I'm also trying to update some financial apps like discover.

have you tried uninstalling compltely and then reinstalling?

makesure to keep backups on your computer

Are you using Categories/CategoriesSB? It's a common issue with iOS4 and above that the App Store and iTunes will not work while stored in a Categories folder. If that's the case, just move the App Store app back out to a springboard and respring.

Edited to add: the Categories issue looks like it's fixed with current updates, so if you're running the latest version, that's not the problem. However, some are reporting that having the app store in your SBSettings dock causes the same problem. See this thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/994133/
