Not interested in those discounted apps... I just spent $50 in apps last night, none of them are on sale :/

oh phooey ..... And i paid $6.99 for Infinite Blade III :( i wanna refund.

I agree that it's kind of a bummer, but try to think of it like this: if you really get joy from the app then the refund amount is insignificant in the grand scheme of things. For less than the price of a latte, you are supporting a developer who writes apps that make your iThing more enjoyable for you.

A recommendation for Heroes of Might and Magic III. It plays like the old computer game and I have had no issues with it so far. Note - It's an iPad only game.

I've pretty much given up on mobile gaming on iOS. I didn't mind paying $10 for madden. But guess developers feel like they can make more money off consumers with in app purchases.

No in app purchases in Heroes.

Is Final Fantasy VII worth $11? Can't bring myself to buy it for less than a 50% discount.

I always disable in all purchases on all my iOS devices. This is a full proof method for me not to spend any more money.

Sometimes I remove the ad or get some fun stuffs. Usually popcorn is not a must for a movie, but if it's cool, it's alright right?

Hitman Go, Lara Croft Go, Transistor, Ducktales, all amazing games and ridiculously addictive.

I don't remove the ads.

If the game is $10-20-30 whatever, I'll pay for it. I'd rather just pay for it once and be done with it. Unfortunately many people are too cheap with mobile gaming. They want the $1 games. Developers know this as well. It's pretty much common knowledge that a small subset of gamers generate 90% plus of the revenues for games with in app purchases.

So it leaves me (the common gamer). I am not a casual gamer, not hard core gamer. Just stuck in the middle common gamer. Leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. That's why I just disable in app purchases. I didn't have a problem paying for madden 10 etc full price. I didn't have a problem paying for garmin/tom tom. Just don't nickel and dime me.

Why cherry pick these apps? Are the apps on sale you did not directly mention here not worthy of mention in your opinion? Or are these just your favourite of the currently on sale apps?

Just think, if this were a game for Nintendo DS or PS Vita it would be $30-40. And if it were for the consoles it would be $50-60. $6.99 is a steal for mobile gaming.
Not so. You have not seen the WiiU VC of recent.
Also the average DS game was way better than the average iOS game. 3DS is another issue though. Most of those games are still full price but so much better than the average iOS game. iOS games are a few gems in a mountain of trash. Finding those few gems is not easy at all.
