I just got my new iPad last night and went about setting it up. I've been an Apple/Mac user since the early-80s, but this is my first time using an iPad.

For some odd reason, the App Store is in German. The product descriptions are all in English, but the buttons are in German. I can't figure out why. My credit card is from a US bank, and I'm in the US now. I tried logging out of my Apple ID and then logging in again, but to no avail. The language is set to English in the settings, by the way.

Does anyone know how (or if) I can change the App Store language? It's not a huge deal, but it is rather annoying.

Try going to the Settings>General>International, and change your "language" to English, and your "region"to the correct country. All of this is usually accomplished in the initial setup of a new iPad.

Like I said, tried all that but it didn't work. Finally decided just to do a restore and that seems to have done the trick. For some reason it decided to restore from an older backup, so I lost some of the layout changes I made, but that's not a big deal. Just glad it is fixed now.
