I think its a bad idea since its a global setting and you're basically letting safari accept potentially revoked SSL certs without checking the rev list.... This was recently a problem when some authority was phished to issuing dodgy certs for the likes of google...

I think I saw a fix for this...

I remeber reading something about changing the keychain preferences.

make sure your preferences look like this:

Hope that helps!

+1 (mbp13 2011).
SL was much faster for me on EVERYTHING, I kinda hate Lion right now, but I know X.0 versions are always buggy. dunno why I didn't wait till 10.7.1...

Same thing here. Macbook Pro 2010, App Store is stupidly slow at times. How is it that the icons/screens are not cached locally? It seems like it's having to download them every single time.

I can't seem to update any Apps. It just lags. And lags, and lags, and then does nothing. Absolutely crap, really not enjoying Lion, it reminds me of Vista.

Every now and again when I launch it, it just starts bouncing in the dock but never opens. I once waited and it bounced for five minutes and then it just stopped (I guess that's when the bounce animation times out?). The solution is to force quit, and on the next try it is open before one bounce.

Yep, same here, beach ball and long wait each time I open it. It seems to be a delay displaying the latest promotion in the big block at the top.

So I applied the latest Apple Software Update and it didn't help. I don't want to change my Keychain permissions, so what else is left to do? Reinstalling OSX is not an option.

Wait till they fix it.

It's not exactly something that's incredibly important.

It was slow also on SL, but it's definitely slower on Lion. Also, it sometimes fails to show update counts on the badge on the icon and also I sometimes get "You haven't purchased any Apps" or "There is nothing to display" or whatever.

UPDATE:

It has been fixed and App Store now runs smoothly after the 10.7.2 update. :)

Tell us about yours.

Absolutely not. Mine still gets the beachball. What happens is, I either open the App Store for the first time or select a category. Everthing loads except the app icons... beachball appears for 3-5 seconds... icons appear and all is well until another category is clicked. Pretty annoying... especially seeing as it's months later.
