Have you tried restarting the phone to see if that would get it resolved? Alternatively have you tried reloading the App Store by tapping one of the sections at the bottom (like the Updates section) 10 times?
Do you perhaps have an app that was installed via a different Apple ID?
For instance, my wife has an app on her iPhone that was installed under my Apple ID. She's been logged in under her Apple ID since shortly after I installed the app.
She'll get an update badge whenever that app under my Apple ID has an update, but she can't see the app in her purchase list, nor can she update the app when logged in under her Apple ID. If we go to the app in question under her Apple ID it shows up as not being installed - because it was not installed under her Apple ID.
By section at the bottom I mean the bottom of the App Store that has different tabs/buttons, like "Featured", "Top Charts", "Explore", "Search", and "Updates"--if you tap any one of them 10 times that reloads the store essentially.I have restarted it more than 5x and sections at the bottom are more apps that can only be open just like the top

Let me know if you were able to get rid off it some how some way. It annoying to see it there. It is a bog sore eye
Phew good thinking. Mine went away and hasn't come back yetI deleted the app that had the update and re-installed it. The badge went away after and hasn't come back.
