APP Store Problems

I have just updated my MacBook to OSX Snow Leopard and run all of the updates. I cannot open my Apps Store as it tells me that the is damaged or incomplete. I want to upgrade to OSX Lion and this is a pain.
I have searched for a fix but have had trouble identifying one.
 
Duff-Man says...first thing to try is re-applying the latest Snow Leopard update, and I'd suggest downloading the 10.6.8 Combo Update and doing it that way as it's often an easy fix for little issues that come up....oh yeah!
