Who cares, people need to grow up... like finding porn on the internet is soo difficult anyway  Plus it can be any pictures you don't want people seeing, doesn't have to be pornographic no?

It probably passed muster because the app itself isn't described as being specifically for delivering porn, but offering a space to store "hidden" information on your iPhone. Which, may or may not be porn.

I can understand Apple's situation here. On one hand, if people really want porn on their iPhones, they're going to find ways to put it on there. It's not hard to stuff an iPhone with images and videos of just about anything, porn included.

However I can see how quickly certain more conservative vocal groups will jump on Apple's case the moment there's even an appearance of actively delivering "smut" to its users, even if that delivery comes with safeguards and is specifically requested by said users. And so to appease these busybodies, they have to appear to crack down when it comes to their attention.

I don't see what beef the OP has with this though. Don't the like the app? Don't download it!

It's only for pictures not videos

Agree with what you said but the app description clearly states the source URL. So didn't Apple notice the nature of those images? Can it really be approved as 4+ ?

I agree, plus why should the iPhone or Apple be held to any higher "moral" standard than other services (very accessible, any internet provider, search engines, etc...) that deliver porn on the internet.

Apple already has a app that can serve porn, it's called Safari.

Say OP, the question is, why are you searching for porn? Are you part of the Apple Moral Police?

I don't get what the problem with porn is on the iPhone?

If people want it, let them have it, they pay for the device/app so what's the problem?

Unfortunately, there are people who feel they are superior to other people and that 'their' particular morals (usually handed down to them by some sort of cult or religion) must be forced on everyone else.

Who asked Apple to be the moral police anyway. Religious fundies seem to think it's their duty to spoil everything, sigh.
But hang on, didn't they they just get age ratings?

There's this one too. These developers certainly have no scruples. Here's the last line in the description:

Just for pics. How bout those who find reading as good(or even better) than those pics/vids:eek:. BTW Is there any app which takes care of storing and hiding txt files, docs, pics, videos etc. Stuff you wont really want to be accessible by anyone getting his/her hands on ur iPhone. Some thing like Finder/FileExplorer would work great as long as you dont need to quit the app to view your files.

There's not one bit of porn in either of the apps mentioned.

    Much ado about nothing.
