This on a 2017 iMac with 16GB RAM, 500GB SSD with 165GB free, running Mojave 10.14.6.

Starting a few days ago I started getting this notice on a product called Mimeo Photos which I deleted some time ago.:

We could not complete your purchase.

There is not enough disk space available to install the product.

Here's what I've tried:
  • Rebooting
  • Rebooting into Safe Mode
  • Running DU which found no problems with the Boot SSD (doesn't Safe Mode run fsck anyway?)
  • Forcing Spotlight to reindex the boot volume
The forced Spotlight reindex works for a while. Mimeo Photos disappears from the Updates page, but reappears with the same error message few hours later.

Note that I recently updated to Xcode 11.1 which has been problematic in terms of disk space for some users. Went fine for me.

It's not a huge deal, but it is a bit annoying.

Any ideas?

Same problem again, this time with Spark, the email app. I deleted this app a long time ago and have no idea why it suddenly appears in the Updates panel.

Once again, turning off Spotlight indexing removes Spark from the Updates panel.

I wish I knew what was going on here.

My boot volume has over 175 GB available, so there is no way this is a disk space problem.
