Good thing gfxcardstatus switches it to the Intel GPU only when i plug it off the power outlet.
 
Because the graphic at the top of the window is using a plug-in also found in Safari which also triggers the 330M GPU. Yes, even the simple things that don't require GPU power triggers the 330M - discussed previously.
