Started having this issue this morning. App store showed 7 updates, I clicked on update all as normal.... I am just getting the little spinner, the apps are blacked out so I can't use them. I've tried rebooting the phone, turning it off for a while, On LTE, on 2 different wifi networks, closing the app store app, etc.... Nothing seems to work. Anyone else ever experience this?

I am on an iPhone X running iOS 12 DB 4

Yep, I have the same issue and have left Feedback using the app. Also experiencing issues downloading Podcasts and updating iCloud Photo Library. Here's hoping we get a DB5 this week.

Yeah now that you mention it, I had an issue downloading new podcasts in overcast this morning... not sure if its related since its a third party app. With the App store I was trying to figure out if it was an Apple outage thing or a Beta issue.

Same happening with me starting yesterday.

12 updates, three sit Loading... The rest sit Waiting...

Have signed in and out.
Have restarted device.
Have prioritized using force touch.

yeah so bizarre that this just started yesterday. The beta was working fine since it came out.

I also started having issues downloading shows on netflix, so its not isolated to the App store I guess.

I am having the same issue, just as you mention, it didn't start with the last beta update. Yesterday sometime all the apps stopped updating.

I did figure out that if I turn off my wifi (I have tried multiple strong wifi connections, none worked as LTE did) and find an app that is under 150 MB it will update it very slowly. It took about 10 minutes for 43 MB app but it did update. I was able to use this method to update all of my apps under 150 MB but once I move back on wifi to be able to download the large one the wheel never moves. I did have to tap on the apps to move them from waiting to loading manually even when on LTE, if I clicked update without doing this nothing processed. I did leave them all in the waiting status over night.

I also noticed if you leave them in the waiting mode it sucks my battery down really quickly.

I tried replicating that method with the wi-fi off but no luck for me, I tried updating just one at a time. but nothing.

I eventually remembered that I could cancel the download by 3D touching on the app. I was sitting there with the waiting message and an unusable app for like 2 days.. I feel like such a dope lol

My updates just started working again. All 13 pending updates shot straight through on an Update All press.

Whoa same here, wonder if they pushed some backdoor fix to the store. Thanks for the heads up

Very cool, there is hope that mine will do the same soon. Thanks for sharing. Did you do any troubleshooting or just gave it time?

I feel like an even bigger dope

Never knew I could do this, been locked out of my bank app for days

I also didn't know about cancelling from a force touch until I had this issue.

Mine still haven't gone through, anyone else still stuck?

I ended up backing up from a full restore of the DB4 image. Pretty frustrating but that resolved the weird iCloud and app store issues.

I’m still seeing this issue. No new apps will install or update. Anyone else still got it?

I've had this issue and was able to have a workaround by adding manual DNS servers in (Configure DNS to manual) in WIFI using addresses 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4

For those who need to update critical apps but still stuck with this issue. As a workaround you can try to install updates with iMazing. It should bypass any iOS 12 bugs as it loads .ipa files to your computer first. And as this feature is free it worth trying imo.

Steps:
- Force close the app on your device if it's opened.
- Download the latest app version with iMazing.
- Install the downloaded .ipa with iMazing.

This should install the latest version and keep all data, but I would recommend trying on some not important app first just to verify the steps. Here's the guide for more detailed info.

Thanks for this! Hasn't entirely solved the issue for me but I'm at least getting updates at trickle speed over my 200Mb fibre line. What a bizarre bug.

At least we're due another beta in a few days.

Well, glad I'm not the only having issues with this. Not only do app updates not download, new apps won't download nor will it download "Offloaded" back from the cloud.

iPhone 8 Plus with latest PB - build 16A5327f

I was about to try the DNS servers but when I woke up this morning everything started to update after hitting the update all button. All 37 apps updated in a few minutes.

I wish I had done something to fix it so I could share, must be something on Apple's servers they are fixing.

Some thing might have happened on Monday.... because in other forums other people are experiencing issues... and they too said that it’s just suddenly stopped etc.. something has gone wrong from apple’s end in the software code...

I'm having this issue now. Started yesterday for me
Yup, it's back for me again. Now I can't even check for iOS updates, it either spins forever "Checking for Update..." or eventually errors saying "Unable to Check for Update - An error occurred while checking for a software update."

Really hoping the new PB comes out today and resolves this issue.

I resolved it by restoring my phone. was a pain though
