This is bugging me.
A lot.

If I'm out somewhere, just surfing the App Store because I'm bored, I sometimes am told that I have some App Updates.

I don't really want to download the updates over 3G, because I don't have a heap of data left on my plan

So I go home, connect to Wifi, click on the App Store icon (which still has its little red badge), and I am told I have no new updates available!

What the hell!

Is their something wrong with my iPhone or is it the App Store's Problem?

Thanks

Companies can post an update and retract it. Hearplanet did this last week. Also, you may update an app on your home computer and until you connect your phone it doesn't know hat it has been updated.

No it's got nothing to do with plugging it in to iTunes seeing as I haven't downloaded them on iTunes.

Strange - I just checked for updates using itunes and found 31 updates, after not finding any updates for more than a month. I even emailed support about the no updates in iTunes a while back and they didn't have a fix...

This kind of happened to me this morning. Woke up and saw that I had 2 updates via the little badge on the app store icon. So i open up the app store and click updates and find there are actually no updates.

weird
