App Store Updating Of Programs Not working?

Hello,

If not the correct Forum for this, please do suggest a "better" one.

Always some new problem, apparently.

If I go to the APP Store, and try to update some programs that are shown
as having updates, nothing happens for any of them.

Just a small, greyed out, spinning disc. Forever.

Might someone suggest what is possibly wrong ?

e.g., is is a problem with the APP store likely, or more likely
on my end ? Thoughts ?
