So I have read a couple of posts where people complain of their batteries being drained way too quickly while no apps are running. I am having the same issue right now. I tried updating an app last night while my phone was plugged in. For whatever reason, it did not update and now it just has the updating icon and it says "waiting" under it. I cannot get rid of the icon, or pause the update, but I think this is what is draining my battery. Any suggestions on how to force an update to stop? I tried deleting the application itself, but the update icon is still there.

Hold down the Home and Lock buttons until you see the apple logo.
