App synching issue

I have one iTunes account which both my wife and I sync to just fine. I love sharing the contacts and calander, etc... The problem is I download tons of apps and when she syncs she gets the apps. I then catch hell.... Married men you understand 🙂

Is there a way to prevent the apps from syncing?
