App that displays info while plugged in (weather, news etc)

I am looking for an app that will stay on, and wont lock, that displays weather, news and other information. Are there any apps like that?

Lots of nightstand apps that stay on with the time and weather. Don't know of any with a news feed that updates. Would be nice though.
