I have a Mac Mini 10.8.5. My internet has a data cap of 10 GB but a late night free zone from midnight to 5 am. Is there a program that can be set up when I am awake during the day that will record streaming videos like hulu and netflix, so that I can watch them during the day? I found something called Playon, play later for pc but nothing for mac. Thanks for any help.

http://software.charliemonroe.net/downie.php -- this might be a good option (although it does not include the aforementioned video providers). Pretty sure there is no legal way to record Netflix/Hulu however as they are both licensed for streaming (and likely copy protected).
Yeah, that's a legal grey area as doing so would allow you to share media from a subscription-based service to those that haven't paid for a subscription.
Not saying you are intending to do so, but allowing it for someone in your situation opens the door for nefarious uses.
