Can anyone recommend an app that would be easy to lay out simple comicsin. I'm not an artist but I have some funny ideas and I'd like to be able to easily lay out a few panels and put in crude drawings and text or use free clip art to make a comic, etc. I need to be able to draw an object and then scale it and duplicate it and perhaps manipulate it, etc. I have Photoshop but for some reason I feel like its not the ideal app for this kind of project.

No, but this is for some playing around. I was hoping for something free or maybe a simple little $30 app. I might actually have a license for Corel Draw from when I bought my Wacom. I'll have to look into that. I'm still looking for suggestion though if anyone has others.

Comic Life from Plasq can be fun. It's meant for use with photos, but I've seen people use sketches, lego, clay, and all kinds of other things. They have a 30 day free trial. Not bad for $19.95 US. It's also in the app store.
