I feel like an idiot to be asking this question, but every year we send out Christmas Cards and Birthday Invites, but I'm tired of modifying a Word template, making sure addresses are up to date, etc. I know you can print labels from the Contacts app, but the age old problem is doing a custom name. I want my address to read "John & Family" not "John Smith." I'm pretty sure there's no way to do this from within the OS X Contacts app, but is there another OS X app that connects to the Contacts database, reads a Group, and allows you to format a sheet of Avery labels where you can choose what fields to include?

Avery has an app that may work for you. Check out the link I provided and see if it will work for you. It is free and provides templates as well. They have both a Mac and PC version.
