    HI ALL,

I want to record some gameplay from Pokemon go.

I've seen YouTube videos of people getting the direct footage using an app but they don't say which app they're using. Does anyone know the app?'
    Thank you

There was an app that was doing it (by creating an AirPlay server on your device), but it was quickly pulled from the AppStore. You could still do the same with an AirPlay server on a Mac.

Your best bet would be to use either Image Capture or Quicktime on a Mac to record the screen over the lightning cable. This feature dates back to iOS 7

I use quicktime for this. But Ive been told image capture works also

This should work as long as you are not watching netfiix or other video services on the iOS device.

Connect the iOS device to the Mac wth a lightning cable
    Unlock the iphone
    Run quicktime or image capture
    Set camera to iPhone
    Set microphone to iphone speaker
    And click on record.

The files will be large. You will probably have to transcode them to a smaller size.

Here is a link to a throw away video I made

The black square on the bottom was due to the fact that pinball fantasies didn't have 6+/6s+ support at the time of the recording. Its not a fault of quicktime.

As far as I am concerned, app has killed the app to record iOS screen directly, u need to use the third-party app to record your screen like Airserver, reflector or even the native way quicktime. This demo works
