I work in an open plan co working office and my colleagues complain that when I get animated on a call I get quite loud. Is there a Mac app that will display a decibel graphic on my screen while in a call and ideally go red or give a notification when the volume through my mic gets too loud? Or any other solution that will tell me when i am speaking too loudly. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

I’d think the best, and free, method for determining this is when your colleagues start glancing in your direction a lot. No app required!

I think you'd have to find a sound recording app that has a decent input level monitoring graphic. You'd probably have to put it in "Record" (with "Pause" ON to keep it from actually recording) to see your levels. This is going to take up screen real estate. I don't know of one that sits in the menu bar, which would be nice.

I'm sure there won't be one that has any kind of "alert".
