App update failed in iTunes, now every sync I get error

I did a check for updates for my apps in iTunes and did download all updates, 12 of the 13 updates seem to have installed with no issue but 1 of them failed and now every time I sync it tries again to install that failed update.

Is there somewhere I can remove this from a pending update so it doesn't try doing it anymore?

how about trying to just uninstall the app on itunes and the phone and then download it again.
