Well said, and that is how the news should have been reported. Not the way it was posted here, it's just sad that people actually believe this to be true and use the quote like they know something.

We certainly appreciate the feedback. Please take a look at the article again and let us know if it makes things clearer now.

its agianst the law but its ok cause no one will buy them so does that mean it they sell a lot of them they can revisit?

It is a similar crappy argument that was made in Germany I believe at the iPad trial. That the sumsung tablet was not as cool looking as the iPad. Lame.

I don't get where that "poor sale" coming from, a lot of my friends and people in Asia are now starting to use samsung now.

Maybe they mean poor sales when compared to the iPhone.

There aren't any lines for new releases and I don't recall any backorders or shipping delays for Samsung/android phones.

Much better now but:

We have also removed a quote from The Next Web's report that when taken out of context suggests that this was at least a partial reason for the overturning of the injunction.

is wrong because there was no context. That quote was posted with no source and no indication whatsoever that it was from the past or that it was paraphrased from the words of a lawyer.

Like I previously said, with the lack of context, anybody would have assumed that it was quoted from the ruling or actual facts.

Thank You :)

takes a lot of journalistic integrity to step back and adjust ones story. I'm not trying to harp on anyone, just that when reporting news, it should be done as agnostic to personal belief and amusement as possible, and relate only the facts.

Let the nutty fanboys make up their own bias in the comments :p

This shouldn't really matter considering Samsung already has the S3 out and a 4" S3 coming out... I guess the ruling makes sense, but it's not like the Nexus will sell much with newer Android phones out.

That's pretty much what I meant...we posted it without context. And given its irrelevance to the court's decision, it shouldn't have been used at all, so I removed it entirely rather than trying to add any context for it.

So basically, it doesnt matter if you steal someone else's property, as long as you are making very little money from it.

Makes sense.

Wow that's so ignorant. Apple has trained it's followers very well. They are well versed in the myth.

Apple invents everyone else steals.

true, the battery life on the nexus is simply terrible, my friend who has the phone lost 30 percent of battery life in one afternoon, he didn't even do anything, the phone is on standby all the time.

Thank you for the correction. To be honest, I thought that first quote was true at first and it was part of the ruling, only after doing my own research I realised it was not true. Unfortunatly, the damage is done and that post minsformed many readers. Like this fellow:

Saw that as well... One thing I really like about the iPhone is they all run the same iOS across the board so you know what to expect.

I think Android suffers in general because there are way too many Android headsets running too many different versions (Froyo, Gingerbread, ICS etc.) with mostly too much bloatware from the manufacturer.

I think in the future Id only stick to pure google handsets like the GNEX line. $49.99 for it is steal, much better specs then the 4S that costs twice as much still.

Too bad the camera and battery life on the Galaxy Nexus sucks big time. Hopefully the follow-ups will correct those mishaps.

Nexus was the one phone I actually would have considered switching to. Unfortunately it suffers from the same problem with grossly oversaturated colors, like all of the other crap Samsung puts out.

I don't understand how millions of people can buy Samsung phones when they make colors look like they were done with those boxes of 24 crayons I had as a kid. There is very little depth or distinction, just blindingly bright reds, blues, and greens.

Apple's screens are calibrated and more true to life, whether it's a phone, tablet, or computer. I still feel they make the best displays around, and that's not being a fanboy. It's just demanding a quality product. I'm a graphic designer, and these details matter.

While I agree with your comment about the uncalibrated screens, you must know that Samsung makes a large percentage of panels in apple displays. :D

Who cares what other people think if you stay true to yourself. It's called integrity. How is this being "weak?" Why do you assume he's trying to middle of the road anything by his comment? He stated what I and others think as well - that just because someone states they are going with a different phone/computer/etc doesn't mean they don't have a vested interest or other tech that is Apple and is just as welcome on this forum as someone who chooses to be "all Apple."

Further - there's nothing wrong with extolling the virtues of a competitor of Apple's. Do you really want forums that are filled with completely like minded people who ONLY think like you. Who ONLY praise Apple and everything they do. That they believe no one can come close to Apple's experience.

How boring.

Exactly. A true tech head embraces all sorts of tech and brand names behind them. I for one am not blinded by one company and will not miss out on innovation and different user experiences other models and brands have to offer because x said they don't like z. Apple is cool but it's not chain linked to my ankle to where I can't go somewhere else.

Logical, nobody bought the product because of the patents included in the case. The whole case from the beginning was BS .

Thanks for fixing the article

As someone who adores both my macbook pro and my galaxy nexus (and also likes macrumors) I really appreciate the update to the article.

As you would see if you go over to the verge where they have most of the relevant parts of the court decision quoted, the initial injunction was completely ridiculous (aka no one buying a galaxy nexus was likely to have bought an iphone instead if the galaxy nexus had lacked the universal search feature). Justice was served here which is good for everyone!

Agreed about camera probably most disappointing feature though shutter speed is much faster with 4.1. Battery life is pretty good with extended battery and ok with the stock but 4G is going to drain on any battery including iPhone

The colors are just so bleh when taking pictures with the GNex. As for battery, I only heard bad comments for the 3G version. I ended buying the HTC One X because the screen was just that incredible... (And the camera is great)

Apple should spend more time focusing on making something new, instead of releasing the same old things again and again and again. And getting their software modern - it still looks 2007

Bet the next iPhone is the 5S and will look 100% like the 5.

They where miles in front - now they dont do anything and today I got me a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - Now thats new stuff.

Still have a lot of Apple though :) 2xiPads, MacBook Air, New iMac, AppleTV, iPod Shuffle and so on.

So I dont say bad things about apple because I dont love them. But because they start to rest to much and dont give a **** about their buyers. "Ohhh see we are popular - they buy anything"

Im just not stupid enough to accept that they dont care no more. Steve rolls in his grave Im sure.

DROP THESE CASES APPLE AND MAKE SOMETHING NEW AGAIN.

ex.: The new iPod Nano is for me a downgrade from the last version :-/

"nobody wants our product; therefore, a ban is unnecessary."

Too bad if your sales are in the dumps. Your product still should be banned if it is not fully legal, patent-wise. Samsung should just get out of the tech business and start building toilets or something.

:) :) :)

The accomplished what they set out to do. Keep the GNex off the shelves during the iPhone 5 launch that really makes it a win..

roflmao what a bunch of sore ignorant losers

Samsung sells WAY more phones than Apple

And the most stealing one is Apple I guess. Funny how iOs suddenly had the same notifications scrolldown :) And there is 1.000's of examples - also the design ones.
